Damaris is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the Clinical Director at Elevate Therapy Group.
Damaris discovered her passion for the field of Applied Behavior Analysis through a personal experience that profoundly shaped her career path. After learning that a close friend’s child had been diagnosed with autism, she was introduced to ABA and was immediately drawn to the life-changing impact it had on the child and their family. This experience sparked a deep commitment to helping individuals with developmental differences reach their fullest potential through the science of behavior.
Damaris began her work in the field by providing direct ABA therapy to children with autism and other related disorders. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience working with individuals across a range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and developmental delays. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Damaris is dedicated to improving the quality of life for both her clients and their families by implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on reducing maladaptive behaviors and promoting functional skills. She takes pride in working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across all environments. Her compassionate, client-centered approach is grounded in the belief that every individual deserves access to effective, evidence-based care that supports meaningful progress.
